26 July 2010
Ruralnet Futures, Tortrix and Embed have been named by the ICT Cluster as three of the region’s ‘Rising Stars’. They were singled-out by the ICT Cluster as impressive examples of organisations all providing innovative solutions which were helping to bring attention and economic success to the region and especially Coventry and Warwickshire.
“These three companies stand out because of their ability to innovate, work hard and achieve success,” comments Mike Musson, ICT Cluster Manager. “They are all passionate about what they do and proud of their West Midlands’ heritage.”
Ruralnet Futures, sited in Lower Cape, Warwick, helps organisations to get the most out of Web 2.0 technology. It delivers bespoke internet based solutions designed to enhance business processes. The company recently secured two Pan-European deals: Project Rurener, which is endeavouring to reduce carbon usage in rural communities in 8 EU countries; and Efficient:20’s aimed at reducing fuel consumption in farming by 20% over three years with 600 pilot farmers in scope through 10 countries.
Tortrix, based at Coventry University’s Technology Park, provides software solutions to the UK healthcare industry. It specialises in the design and development of clinical dashboards and intranet solutions.
