New viral game tops global gaming chart in first week

A new online game, ‘ Battle for the Boardroom’ www.battlefortheboardroom.com, launched by the Institute of Consulting last week has attracted over 320,000 executives from around the world keen to test their strategic business skills and ambitions to see if they are ‘manager’ or ‘consultant’ material and worthy of a place in the boardroom.
This new innovative viral game was developed by the Institute of Consulting in partnership with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Designed by TAMBA, the award-winning digital design agency, the game has proved so successful that in just seven days it has reached number one in the European and global viral gaming charts.
‘Battle for the Boardroom’ was designed to help the Institute of Consulting engage a broader and more diverse audience of business professional and, at the same time, educate them about the range of products, services and qualifications available through the Institute of Consulting.
Huw Hilditch-Roberts, the Institute of Consulting Director comments, “The Institute of Consulting’s goal is to grow our membership significantly this year, attracting a greater number of independent consultants. We want to educate independent consultants about the many support services and qualifications we offer that can help them differentiate themselves, develop their skills and critically, win new clients even in this choppy business climate.”
“In Battle for the Boardroom we have managed to combine elements of a fun and compelling gaming environment with more serious business undertones as the game challenges players’ strategic skills, cunning and tests their management capabilities. We are delighted it is proving such a hit and seems to have struck a real chord with business executives globally.”
