Evida To Showcase Battery Power Systems For Ev Applications At LCV2011

Evida Power, Ltd., a leading designer and manufacturer of lithium-ion battery packs for electric vehicles (EVs), will be showcasing its power and management solutions for the EV market at LCV2011, the UK’s annual low carbon vehicle event. Hosted by Cenex, LCV2011 takes place at the Rockingham Race Circuit in Northamptonshire on 7th and 8th September.
Evida will be displaying its custom-designed lithium-iron phosphate battery pack within a production-specification Mia Electric Microbus vehicle on stand F3 within the internal exhibition area. The model, which is due to go on sale in Europe later this month, is the first EV to receive Evida’s fully homologated and tailored 8 kWh energy system as part of a $250 million, 5-year deal with the Franco-German automaker.
During the two-day business-to-business conference and exhibition, Evida will also be highlighting its expertise and credentials in the provision of cost effective high performance battery power systems for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), fleet operators and high volume applications.
Furthermore, Jonathan Shine, Evida’s Co-founder and Senior Vice President of Business Development, will be joining other panel members to lead a session at 12:00 pm on 8th September, entitled “Sustainable Power in the Drive for Lower Carbon Emissions” in the Cenex Arena. His presentation will discuss how fleets are able to adopt complete low carbon vehicle solutions without affecting business performance. He will also examine the role that electric power will play in the commercial vehicle sector as the combustion engine becomes less sustainable in the new eco era.
