Managing pan-European and global PR networks

Vitis PR is a communications agency with established pan-European and global networks. We’ve had the opportunity to work with many clients over the years who require an international and global PR presence. We’re passionate about understanding our clients, their goals and the stories they want to share with the right audience, be it media, analysts, customers and prospects.

Our longstanding relationships with partner agencies in each region, means that we can easily integrate with or manage an organisation’s existing network of agencies to ensure the smooth running of PR campaigns across multiple countries.

Our approach:

International PR programmes require on-the-ground expertise and local market knowledge and are best coordinated from a single agency point of contact: the hub and spoke approach. Offering full-service client management, we oversee all activity and administration across the network. Over the years, we’ve finessed seamless processes to support our international agency teams with the PR materials and guidance they need to deliver the clients’ communications campaigns in the target countries.

Our role as a hub agency is to develop core narratives for each of our client’s target regions. This includes messaging, thought leadership content as well as crafting strategic activity plans.

We then share these materials with our PR partners on the ground (or “spoke agency”) so that they can create their own storylines and angles, specific to their local markets and media, where they have direct expertise.

At other times we may act as the spoke agency. If, for example, a client is based in Poland, the Polish agency will manage the work and we could act as the hub agency.

The benefits of a hub agency:

Having a single hub agency ensures that there is one point of contact for you. We as a hub agency manage and are accountable for the activity across the target regions. The advantage of a hub agency is that they conduct the initial thinking and strategic planning for the entire network. This frees up local partner agencies to conduct local activity and deliver those results.

Expertise:

Our wide network of partners in different regions means we can select the best international agency for each client—agencies that have expertise in executing successful campaigns that can raise the profile of your organisation. We pride ourselves on finding the right local partners to work with.

We are part of an extensive network of international PR agencies that covers more than 80 countries. While we have established links with PR agencies across the globe, when we manage an international PR campaign on behalf of our clients, if the partner agency is not the best fit for a particular project, we would look to recruit a suitable local partner through an RFP. The right “spoke” partner agency will have relevant client experience, agency credentials and solid media relationships.

The hub and spoke agencies are set up now what?

Once we’ve got the right partners on board, we communicate our communications plans in a series of kick-off meetings. Here, we share materials and processes to ensure that our local partner agencies have everything they need to hit the ground running.

On a day-to-day level, we provide strategy and consultancy and all important reporting for our clients while acting as a contact point and for our international PR partners. This includes coordinating and hosting regular calls with our partners to ensure everyone is kept abreast of current activity and has access to materials. We also act as a sounding board for any challenges they may be experiencing.

If you are a tech brand with ambitions to branch out into Europe or further afield such as the USA and would like to get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.

Here are some of the international PR campaigns that we’ve worked on for our clients:
