Our 2012 listing did so well, we decided to create a list for 2013 …. check in regularly for updates.

Of course, if we’re entering clients for awards …. we won’t be adding them to the list!

List of UK technology awards 2013

Entering an IT award takes time, effort and isn’t very cheap, so why bother? It’s not all just about good PR and getting publicity for your company’s brand or product. Winning an award that’s relevant to your business offers credibility and can help remind your clients why they chose you in the first place.

  1. Elektra Awards
    The Elektra European Electronics Industry Awards will once again be the high point of the year for the European electronics industry. Now established as the best promotional platform to celebrate the achievements of individuals and companies across Europe, this year’s awards will present best-practice in key areas including, innovation, sales growth and employee motivation.  The awards will focus on the achievements of new and emerging engineering talent across Europe.
  2. Banking Technology Awards
    Now in its 14th year, the incredibly successful Banking Technology Awards have become established as the premier event recognising excellence in the use of IT in financial services.  Each year the event has grown as an ever-wider pool of entrants vie for the recognition that the Awards confer on their efforts – from small regional banks in central Europe and Africa to industry behemoths with multi-million budgets and global projects, all are put under the scrutiny of our expert judging panel.
  3. Techworld Awards  – Nominations close 23rd September 2013
    The Techworld Awards have firmly established themselves as the major infrastructure and networking awards event in the IT calendar. Recognising both products and users, the Techworld Awards highlight innovation on all sides of the IT industry.
  4. Deloitte Technology Fast 50 – nominations close 23rd  September 2013
    The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 is one of the UK’s foremost technology award programmes, ranking the country’s 50 fastest growing technology companies, based on percentage revenue growth over the last five years.
  5. Global Mobile Awards  – nominations open September 2013
    The Global Mobile Awards attract entries from across the world and are judged by a panel of independent, highly respected experts. Presented at the Mobile World Congress, the awards celebrate Mobile Apps, Innovation, Technology, Services, Advertising, Handsets, Devices and much more.
  6. SVC Awards – nominations open 22nd July 2013 and close on 16th September 2013
    The Storage, Virtualisation & Cloud Awards (SVC  Awards) reward the products, projects and services as well as honour companies and teams operating in the cloud, virtualization and storage fields. The SVC Awards recognise the achievements of end-users, channel partners and vendors alike and in the case of the end-user category there will also be an award made to the supplier who nominated the winning organisation.
  7. NextGen Challenge
    The NextGen Challenge Awards are set to showcase the best in next generation digital access infrastructure innovation. Originally designed to give companies the opportunity to highlight achievements in developing and deploying better broadband, the awards now have more categories reflecting the wider impact of digital infrastructure investment across the whole economy.
  8. Institution of Engineering and Technology
    The IET Innovation Awards celebrate the very best innovations in science, engineering and technology. The fifteen categories span the breadth of the IET’s remit and are judged by a panel of experts in their field. Winners not only receive a stylish trophy, but benefit from extensive media coverage to the entire IET membership and beyond.
  9. BEEA Awards
    The British Engineering Excellence Awards (BEEAs) aim to demonstrate and promote the quality of engineering design within the UK; to emphasise innovation and effectiveness in order to allow smaller companies to compete on an equal footing with larger ones; to act as an incentive to the design engineering industry to create world-class businesses; to provide a benchmark of excellence from which the industry can learn and from which it can build; and to demonstrate the power of engineering design innovation within the UK to the world.Winners benefit from extended coverage in Findlay Media’s market-leading Eureka and New Electronicsmagazines. This takes the form of news updates, editorial features and interviews with the winners post the Awards and throughout the year.
  10. James Dyson Foundation
    The James Dyson Award is an international student design award that celebrates, encourages and inspires the next generation of design engineers. It is run by the James Dyson Foundation as part of its mission to encourage the next generation of design engineers to be creative, challenge and invent. The award is open to product design, industrial design and engineering university level students with a simple brief – design something that solves a problem.
  11. The CRN Channel Awards
    The CRN Channel Awards recognise resellers, VARs, voice and data resellers, system integrators, solution providers, and system builders, distributors and vendors.  Now in their 20th year, the awards continue to represent the pinnacle of achievement in the UK market, rewarding outstanding performance in the IT channel. The awards will celebrate the latest technology innovations and advancements, recognising the ingenuity and exceptional achievements of the UK channel industry over the past twelve months.
  12. The National Outsourcing Awards (NOA)
    The NOA awards recognise and rewardinnovation and achievement by suppliers, users and integrated teams within the outsourcing industry. The winners represent thelength and breadth of the outsourcing industry, from banking to telecoms, small companies to large, individuals and majorcorporates.
  13. The Business Software Industry Awards (SSA)
    Categories will include; Bookkeeping, Financials & ERP, Tax, Accounts production, Expenses management , payroll, Document Management, Practice Management and Business Intelligence. There are a few changes to this year’s Software Satisfaction Awards – notably:

    • The awards will focus purely on the accounting and finance sector The awards will be re-branded as the “AccountingWEB Software Satisfaction Awards” and become a core awards programme on our market leading title
    • The core voting process will be run as an independent survey by AccountingWEB and our partners
    • Awards presentation will be made to the top three performers in each category in a major online event scheduled for September
  14. Computing Security Awards
    The Computing Security Awards recognise impressive products, services, companies and individuals, the awards also aim to honour valuable work that has been carried out over the past year both in the public and private sectors. A judging process will determine the winners in Project of the Year categories. If you have a customer success story that you would like to enter for one of the Project of the Year categories, you still have time to do so. Please note, details of the work undertaken will not be made public by the organisers of the awards.
  15. Women Into Science, Engineering & Construction
    The WISE Annual Awards recognise companies & individuals who actively address the issue of promoting science, engineering & construction to girls & young women. In 2013, the awards bring together both the WISE Awards and the prestigious Women of Outstanding Achievement Awards at one high profile event.
  16. European Seal of e-Excellence
    The European Seal of e-Excellence rewards ICT and Digital Media companies with an excellent track record in innovation marketing. Awarded annually since 2003 by EMF and its Partner Organisations, the Seal is widely known for distinguishing companies with innovative products & services and outstanding marketing.
  17.  The IT Industry Awards
    The IT Industry Awards celebrate your IT excellence at the UK IT Industry Awards 2013 – the benchmark for outstanding performance throughout the UK computer industry. The awards focus on the contribution of individuals, projects, organisations and technologies that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of IT in the past twelve months.
